Outstanding and off the beaten path this place is a must stop for tourists and locals. Food is delicious but it is only open for three hours and there is a great deal of takeout orders from the across the bridge crowd. Come hungry and you won't be disappointed

Excellent stop before starting the Natchez Trace drive. They're only open till two so plan for lunch. Our server, Lewis, I think, was full of information about the restaurant, the area, and local history. His daughter is also a server, and his wife cooks. We had a sesame chicken salad sandwich and half a PBJ/ half a grilled cheese. All were served on thick sliced, fresh baked sourdough. All were delicious! Each plate came with homemade vegetable soup and either potato salad or house salad with homemade dressing. Again- delicious. We shared a dessert, scrumptious banana caramel pie and had blueberry lemonade which was very refreshing. Not only was lunch tasted and quickly made but the stories and structure were epic! Do yourself a favor and make this your number one lunch stop when visiting Natchez!

I love this place. It's like stepping back in time. The food is always very good, but the desserts are to die for. I live 90 minutes away, but still drive up there when I can. Tori cooks all the desserts, and they are some of the best you will eat. One cool thing is that if you order a piece of pie or cake, you can actually get 1/2 slices of 2 kinds. If you ever get a chance stop by there for lunch.

Food and service was excellent! My rueben was SO tasty- meat tender and cheese and sauce really good. Side salad had homemade dressing and it also came with soup! GET's Special of the Day Pork loin was really good. He loved the rice dressing and Southern style green beans. We took a piece of Hummingbird cake to-go (had never tasted Hummingbird cake!) for later and loved it! AND, of course the homey atmosphere of this unusual historic building was delightful!

Best Pies, Sandwiches and Soups! All made with Love! Don't miss this Natchez Mississippi Gem! Exterior needs some attention by the owners but nothing the renters can do about that.

Mammy's is a very unique establishment given that you are dining in the dress of a very large woman. The skin color of the lady has been lightened which appears to be an attempt to be less offensive so I guess they're trying right? Putting that aside, it is a unique atmosphere in which to dine. That being said, the inside of the restaurant feels like you're at your grandma's kitchen table. Very quaint and no frills. The restaurant is open for lunch only so get in early so they don't run out of specials as it's a small restaurant and popular with locals. The food is southern country home cooking which is certainly not fine dining but has its merits. The Reuben is VERY good and when you order they allow you to do half portions so you can try multiple options which I love. The desserts are where mammy consistently shines.. All the pies are amazing. Also, our server was lovely and accommodating to any and all requests which she told us from the beginning. We loved the service and tipped above 20% bc it made our lunch so great. I would definitely stop at Mammy's if you're passing through Natchez at least to say that you did!

Had the Wednesday special which was roasted rosemary chicken with a brown sauce, rice, a small side salad, and broccoli cornbread. Everything tasted very well really thought this was a true southern experience. The broccoli cornbread threw me until I tasted it, since I like broccoli, I thought it was very good. The chicken was tender the gravy was perfect so all in all the main meal was very good. We also sample two slices of pie a coconut meringue and chocolate meringue and was given a small slice of lemon meringue to even things up. All three were excellent, but my favorite turned out to be the lemon meringue.
